Fronius Backup Switch 1PN/3PN-63A Manual Transfer Switch

The Fronius Backup Switch 1PN/3PN-63A is a cost-effective manual transfer switch (MTS) that enables backup power activation in PV systems equipped with Fronius Primo, Symo GEN24 Plus, or Verto Plus inverters. It provides a simple, space-saving solution for switchover between grid and backup power sources, supporting both single-phase and three-phase configurations.

Rated for 63 A at 230/400 V (3-phase), the switch meets utilisation categories AC21A, AC21B, AC23A, AC23B, and AC3. It mounts on standard DIN-Rail 35 mm and fits easily into electrical switch cabinets with compact dimensions of 70 × 135.4 × 91 mm, keeping installation costs and effort minimal.

The device is certified to IEC 60947-6-1 with IP20 protection and operates reliably across an ambient temperature range of −40 to +60 °C. Cable connections support phase and neutral conductors from 1 to 25 mm², and data communication lines from 0.13 to 2.5 mm².
