Fox ESS PQ1-5.0 5 kW Hybrid Inverter

The Fox ESS PQ1-5.0 is a 5.0 kW single-phase hybrid inverter in an all-in-one off-grid energy storage system. It is designed for solar self-consumption, battery backup and independent power applications. The inverter has three MPPT trackers, supports up to 20 kW of connected PV array power and up to 19 kW of PV input power, and has an 80–500 V battery operating range. Each tracker accepts up to 20 A on the PQ1-5.0 model.

This listing is paired with the Fox ESS EQ5000-S high-voltage LFP battery, which provides 9.84 kWh of nominal energy and can be scaled to 29.52 kWh. The system includes integrated 63 A bypass capability and a switch time of less than 4 ms for supported backup-power arrangements.

The PQ1 series has an integrated LCD touchscreen for on-device control, with WiFi and LAN built into the unit. It is intended for residential and light-commercial installations.
