Tibber Pulse IR Starter Kit with Bridge – Smart Meter Data Logger

The Tibber Pulse IR is an infrared optical smart meter data logger designed for German and European electricity meters. It reads consumption data via optical signals from the meter's IEC 62056-21 port and transmits the data wirelessly to the included Tibber Bridge using 863–870 MHz radio communication. The Bridge then forwards the data via Wi-Fi to Tibber's servers for real-time consumption monitoring and self-consumption optimization.

The starter kit includes the Pulse IR reading head (model TFD01) and the Pulse Bridge (model TJH01). The Pulse IR operates on two AA batteries (Li-FeS2 or alkaline) with an expected lifespan of approximately 2 years. The Bridge plugs into a standard 230 VAC outlet. Both devices support protocols including IEC62056-21, SML, Logarex, and Imps, making them compatible with major inverter and charger brands such as Zaptec, Wallbox, Ecoflow, Solis, and Pylontech.

Operating temperature range is −20 °C to +50 °C. IP40 ingress protection. The product complies with EU Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU) and relevant standards. Data is managed through the Tibber mobile app (iOS/Android) or via API for advanced users.
