The EcoFlow PowerOcean 5K is a single-phase grid-tied hybrid inverter with integrated battery storage support and backup functionality. Rated for 5 kW AC output, it features two independent MPPT inputs, each handling up to 16 A at maximum efficiency of 96.5%. Maximum PV input voltage is 520 V with MPPT tracking range of 90–520 V.
The inverter automatically switches to battery backup mode in the event of a grid outage, with switchover time in milliseconds. It supports up to 15.3 kWh of connected battery capacity and can be cascaded with up to two additional inverters for total system capacity of 45 kWh. IP65-rated design enables both indoor and outdoor installation.
Communication options include Wi-Fi, LAN, Bluetooth, and 4G via RS485 and CAN protocols. The system is compatible with EcoFlow PowerOcean LFP battery packs and requires a compatible energy meter (INLINE YDM201D or ADL200N-CT) for complete installation. Operating temperature range is –20 °C to +50 °C with 15-year product warranty.
