Micro inverters

A microinverter, also called 'microinverter', is a small inverter that you can place directly behind a panel. This allows the end user to monitor how the panels perform individually and easily detect errors in the event of a malfunction. Microinverters are widely used, especially in the consumer market. Microinverters are generally more expensive than string inverters and power optimizers. The electrical energy generated by the panel is directly converted into alternating current by a micro-inverter. So, as with many other configurations, the power does not go to the "central" inverter. In some cases, microinverters are integrated into solar panels, but often they are retrofitted into solar panel mounting systems.
