Description
The GoodWe GW5000-ES-20 is a compact hybrid inverter designed for residential PV and battery storage systems. It delivers 5 kW nominal output with dual MPPT inputs, enabling optimized energy management and grid interaction. The inverter supports both on-grid and back-up operation, with UPS-level switching under 10 ms for seamless battery support during grid outages.
Key features include integrated protection circuits (anti-islanding, residual current monitoring, insulation detection, reverse polarity, AC short-circuit and overvoltage protection), wall-mounted installation, and IP65 weather protection. Communication is via RS485 meter connection and WiFi/LAN/4G portal integration. Compatible with GoodWe Lynx Home U and BYD LVS batteries, it supports natural convection cooling and operates reliably from −25 to +60 °C across operating altitudes up to 3000 m.
The inverter includes a Smart Meter GM110 and one current transformer. Single-phase output at 220/230/240 V, 50/60 Hz. Maximum efficiency 97.6%, European efficiency 96.7%, with battery-to-AC efficiency of 95.5%.
