Search4Solar visited the Intersolar fair in Munich last week, where more than 1,450 exhibitors were on 132,000 m2. This has made the fair the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners of the solar industry in Europe. Search4solar has looked at novelties and where exactly the market as a whole is going. Below is a short report. The Intersolar showed that solar panel sizes are increasing, there are a number of brands that dominate the market such as Longi, Trina, Jinko, Risen and Ja Solar. These Tier 1 brands are now coming onto the market with powers ranging from 550 Wp to sometimes 600 Wp. These larger project modules are mainly used in other countries. In the Netherlands, sales of solar energy will continue to grow, where last year solar panels of 375 Wp all black were often used, we will now move much more towards 395WP or 400 WP all black. In terms of inverters, you see that they are becoming increasingly suitable for use as a hybrid form in combination with a battery. The battery market is still growing in the Netherlands and as soon as the netting scheme is adjusted or expires, more batteries will come onto the market in the Netherlands. You hear from various distributors everywhere that the stock shortages will not be resolved in the coming months, but the entire industry is working to scale up and produce more volume. As Search4Solar we have also been to a number of halls where smart charging solutions were presented. Now that more and more people are starting to drive electric, the demand for charging solutions will increase and smarter solutions will be available to generate energy in the home or office and use it in a smart way. The car will also play an important role in terms of energy storage. The various mounting manufacturers could again be admired in large numbers at the fair. We also visited Van der Valk Solar Systems , a leading company that continues to innovate and must continue to adapt its systems as the dimensions of the solar panels continue to change and become larger. Older dimensions as we know them from the 60 cell solar panels are no longer visible and we only find modules that have larger dimensions.
