Cedel CED-P1 P1 Extension Modules for EV Charging Station Load Balancing

The Cedel CED-P1 is a plug-and-play P1 extension module system designed to enable load balancing between smart meters and EV charging stations across distances up to 100 meters. The kit includes a smart meter module, charging station module, two P1 cables, and requires a standard UTP Cat 5(E) or Cat 6 cable (not included) to bridge the distance between devices.

Installation is straightforward: connect the smart meter module to the smart meter via P1 cable, run the UTP cable between modules, and connect the charging station module to the charger. The system automatically recognizes the meter and activates load balancing without additional configuration. The charging station module features a switchable P1 connector supporting both Alfen (position A) and Newmotion (position B) chargers.

Each module measures 68 × 58 × 23 mm and weighs 30 grams. The system requires DSMR 4.0 or later smart meters and is powered directly by the meter. Maximum UTP cable length is 100 meters with straight (T-568B) wiring.
