Socket or fixed cable?

Both routes use a Type 2 connection. The choice is mainly about daily use, cable management and how many different vehicles will use the charger.

Standalone or integrated with Enphase?

The charger can be commissioned as a standalone device and managed through the Enphase App. In an integrated Enphase site it can coordinate with PV and IQ Battery, making solar-surplus charging and a single energy view possible when the required metering is present.

Do not assume that an existing Enphase installation already has every required current transformer or communication component. Record the IQ Gateway or combiner configuration and verify the supported site topology before quoting the installation.

Match charging power to the connection

The headline 22 kW rating requires a suitable three-phase connection and a vehicle that accepts that AC charging power. A single-phase site is limited lower. Set the maximum current around the grid connection, protective devices, simultaneous building loads and contracted capacity.

Dynamic load balancing can protect the connection by adjusting charging to the site load. Treat the measurement and commissioning needed for that function as part of the scope, not as an optional note after the charger has been ordered.

Metering, access and business use

The integrated MID meter supports accurate consumption records and reimbursement workflows. For a company car, shared parking or customer charging, also specify user authorisation, reporting, tariff or reimbursement process and any backend requirement.

OCPP support can matter for backend integration, but protocol support alone does not guarantee that a chosen service provider has certified the exact charger and firmware. Confirm that relationship before promising remote operation or settlement.
